Economy
Value
Imported with all gizmos extra for less cost than the basic British Model.
Costs
So far servicing marginally above my previous Corsa 1.4. Fuel about 2/3rds what I used to pay.

On the road
Driving
Smooth, quiet at speed. Nice to not have to push car to make it go at a reasonable pace and 6th gear a nice touch.
Performance
Put your foot down above 2000 rpm and it'll fly. 4th Gear is strangly a none gear for overtaking - use 3rd!

Living with it
Reliability
Only probs are a rear washer jet which keeps braking its holding clip. VW say a common fault - been replaced twice now under warranty. Hope it doesn't break out of warranty!
Image
People look, a little too much at times, which didn't get with previous car. It's a golf, has years of image.
Comfort
Seats hug you round bends, but took me about 5000 miles to find a comfy driving position. Like the left foot rest too.

Security and Service
Security
Not had any attempts at it yet, seems okay.
Service
Despite my expectations of arrogance, have been surprised at their service though I do get a feeling they look down on imported cars. We'll see how amenable they are with another broken washer jet.
