Economy
Value
Decent value as an import, but dealers can treat you like scum.
Costs
Very high when using VW dealers, £250 to replace headlamp glass. Hourly rates are pushing the £100 in London. Use independents. City Gate of Chalfont St Giles should wear Dick Turpin masks, try an independent for better quality and experience.

On the road
Driving
Great in a straight line, interesting in the bends.

Excellent grunt and economy.

Living with it
Reliability
Apart from security issues, after 70K very reliable.
Image
Very average, but better than a Ford.
Comfort
Nice firm seats, good job they grip you in the bends.

Security and Service
Security
Diabolical, there are well known problems that all car thieves know about and which make this model virtually unsecurable.
Service
City Gate of Chalfont St Giles should wear Dick Turpin masks as they have commited highway robbery. They made me feel as welcome as a trafiic warden on top gear. Try an independent for better quality work and a more friendly and professional experience
