Value
Good value for money. Purchased mine when 8 months old for a good saving on new price. Is very well built. Fit & finish superb.
Costs
VW servicing over priced and very poor. My car was run into a wall whilst being serviced ! Using a local garage from now on, half the price and much better service

On the road
Driving
Rock steady at speed and in a straight line but wallows in bends which can be frustrating, as this is a very rapid car mid range
Performance
Superb ! This car is fast in almost any gear at any speed. Eats so-called 'Hot Hatches' for breakfast and averages 45mpg. Can't complain at that.

Living with it
Reliability
No reliability issues so far. Keep up the service & oil changes to the book and these cars will run and run.
Image
Bought this car for the build quality, image and performance. Still looks good even though new shape on sale. Unfortunately they are now a common sight.
Comfort
Seats comfortable on long journeys, but rear seat leg room could be better. Boot space is good for a hatchback.
