They like it!! But not all as mad about cars as we are tho!!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes because it has served us well so far and having owned previous versions and tested the more recent Mk6 they don't beat the Mk1 but do improve each new release.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Modded Golf would love to be able to run an R32 or even go mad with the Passat R36 - V6 (mad mad money tho)

Did you get a good deal and why?
The car was tailored to our requirements as money wasn't a factor when we bought it. The sales guy was professional and listened to what we wanted and still did the best deal for us
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Because we had Mk 2 & Mk 3's already. We love the Golf and wanted the new one after writing off the Mk3
What was the dealer like?
Briliant. If we wanted it we got it.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Has been known to race a MkII Porsche carrera in a drag race and win!!! Cruises round great, but with the wheels and recent snowy conditions found it is pants handling with the slightest ice & snow. Would recommend where possible to buy Pirelli P1100's on it rather than cheaper tyres.
What's it like to park?
Fab - no hassles as long as the driver can park it!!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
We had some rattles in the first year but the dealer quickly dealt with them for us. Besides that none
What's most practical about your car?
It's pokey when it needs to be and handle brilliant compared to the standard height and suspension.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Steering wheel - Multi functional with Cruise control amazing on long Motorway drives, and the climate control is great in both winter & summer.
