Economy
Value
Not too bad for what you get. If doing this size car again, I would probably opt for the Leon.
Costs
Overall, not bad. Pretty good on fuel, too.

On the road
Driving
Good handling, wet and dry, nice car. It's a little bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Performance
Flat OUT! I've had a REVO re-map done on this and it was reading 195bhp on a recent rolling road. As improved, the pickup on the turbo too. 0-60 is about 7ish now. Get it done!

Living with it
Reliability
Well, I've had a few issues, nothing major though. I did have a clutch go, but that was done under warrany at 26k miles.
Image
I like the car. It is a bit of a head turner, for a Golf.
Comfort
I've got leather and heated seats. Essential. Good driving position. Headrests could be a little better positioned.

Security and Service
Security
It's still sat outside, so I guess it's good.
Service
VW have been ok. They are not the most courteous manufacturer when it comes to after-care service. Stay away from Dovercourt Bristol.
