I have a bit of class and style and don't drive any old rubbish.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone likes it, it gets a good amount of respect from people.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would, but only with a more powerful engine. Would love the GT TDI 130 bhp instead.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly another Golf, maybe might push to a newer Mk5, but an Audi A3 is on the cards too.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I thought the price was very reasonable. Car was in excellent condition with full service history.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a car that had great image, solid build and good fuel economy, as I drive rather high miles.
What was the dealer like?
Bought it off someone down the road, very friendly and easy to deal with.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Quick enough in a straight line, but nothing amazing. Handles like an elephant on rollerskates...I'm not very impressed with the handling, the car rolls far too much, but at least it grips the road ok. Fuel economy is fantastic, regular runs return around 50mpg. Drive it hard and expect 45mpg. I drive about 500 miles on a full tank before filling up again.
What's it like to park?
No real trouble, power steering makes it easy. Visibility is quite good.

Have you had any problems with the car?
MAF Sensor had gone which resulted in me losing up to 50bhp! A very common fault on Audi/VW TDI engines. Replaced the sensor for £50 and the car runs like new! Apart from that nothing has gone wrong, just the usual wear and tear parts, tyres, brakes ec
What's most practical about your car?
Excellent load space for a hatchback, plenty of room for 4 people with ease. Very comfy seats too, nice and supportive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
8 speaker audio system is great, nice sound quality for an OEM stereo system. Everything is electric - windows, sunroof, wing mirrors, headlights... Mine has the center armrest which is great, too.
