Yes. Has been a reliable and safe car and still has an enviable reputation.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Ex demo and last of the old style.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The fuel consumption. I travel 80 miles round trip daily for work and the diesel was the most economical option. I bought an ex demo of the last of the old style and it has never let me down.
What was the dealer like?
Very good. It was some time ago now and I will be renewing soon so I will have a better idea then but from what I can remember he was very helpful and not too pushy.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent drive. Responds immediately to acceleration even though diesel. Holds the road and pulls away from trouble with absolute reliability.
What's it like to park?
The old style is easy to park as the visibility is excellent.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Just the boot catch which appears to be a fault with this car as there are lots of blogs about it online.
What's most practical about your car?
Solid as a rock and reliable.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Very basic model so nothing fancy but just the usual reliability of a Golf.
