What does this car say about you?

Likes something with a bit of substance, but something a little different from the norm.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most have to be told that it is the next one up from the GTi, but otherwise they all like it, especially being in black.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, only due to the current fuel climate and because I don't want to restrict myself to one marque. Otherwise, it is a very good car.

What are you likely to buy next?

Something German, probably BMW 5 series or Mercedes E-Class.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted to buy and run something German and thought that the Golf GTi was perhaps a little 'chavvy'. I had heard numerous references to this vehicle being smooth and refined, which is ideal for my commute.

What's it like to drive?

Good for my commute, which consists of mainly motorways. Will easily cruise at high speed, the only downside being the noise from the wheels. No wind noise. Plenty of torque, so no need to constantly change gear. Sits at 30mph in 5th gear without kangooring. Bit wallowy on fast country roads, but that is due to the softened suspension which makes it a comfy cruiser.

What's it like to park?

Easy. Good vision out of all the windows.

Have you had any problems with the car?

One incident where the clutch itself went through the floor. Only £125.00 to repair.

What's most practical about your car?

Size - easy to park due to its smaller size (i have only ever owned big cars), but drives like a big car.

My favourite gadget is the engine! Powerful, yet smooth
