What does this car say about you?
Stylish, good taste, smart and I know a good car when I see one.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all say to me regulary what a smart looking car it is and that it's nicely equipped inside. As passengers they often comment on how smooth the drive is.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes definitely; will probably always buy a Golf for the rest of my days, although a diesel, would be my preference.
What are you likely to buy next?
I'm hoping to get a VW Golf 2.0TDI probably 140ps, as fancying a diesel next.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yeah I believe so. Car lovely inside and out, I'm the second owner so no wear and tear and good price for the spec and age.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I love Volkswagen cars, my first car was a Polo. This is my second car and have always wanted a Golf, so I bought a Golf! Plus, it was a nice step up from a 1.4 Polo.
What was the dealer like?
Helpful, they sent the car through from VW dealer at Sunderland to Durham. More convienent for me and happened quickly; before I knew it I was out on a test drive! They also kindly loaned me a 6 month old Golf 1.6TDI bluemotion for a day, while my car was being prepared for me to take home.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fair amount of power but sometimes have to drop a cog on some hills/banks. Cruises beautifully in town and on dual carriageways/motorways is quiet and steering is accurate. Excellent brakes and respectable acceleration. Always happy driving it.
What's it like to park?
Pretty easy, although the previous model of Golf has a better 360 degree view. The power steering is light and the mirrors are of a good size.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing, it has remained mechanically sound and still purrs like a dream. Lovely to drive, always look forward to getting into it each morning :).
What's most practical about your car?
The layout, ease of controls, size, 5 doors and spacious and boot is too.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The armrest! Well, several things, the cruise control, the 6 speed gearbox and automatic lights, amongst others!
