Yes - been very happy with all-round abilities.

Not looking to buy again for a few years but by then probably need a bigger car for towing & family - BMW 5 series?

Did you get a good deal and why?
Felt like a reasonable deal with price in the region of similarily priced private golfs for sale at the time but with the benefit of VW warranty and breakdown cover etc.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Seemed like the best balance between practicality, performance, image/style & running costs.
What was the dealer like?
Very professional - This was my first car bought from a mainstream dealer and was very impressed with the experience compared to some horrendous (and sometimes very intimidating!) experiences I have had with independent dealers in the past.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is a great compromise offering both a good, solid performance on the motorway and also fine around town. Acceleration is ok - Overall, doesn't sparkle in any particular area but does perform very well in everything!
What's it like to park?
No problems noted!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
1) Engine warning light came on within 2 days of buying - Something to do with incorrect fuel mix (lambda sensor?) but all fixed under warranty. 2) Approx. 11 months in, engine warning light came on again for no apparent reason (!) - took to dealer and fixed under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Everything - very practical car as would be expected for a hatch!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Great gadgets - automatic wipers & lights etc.
