Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. With a good trade in, big discount and 3.5% interest rate loan from dealer what else could you ask for!!! I could buy a BMW again and spend £35,000 or a New Golf for under £18,000! The Golf every time.
What are you likely to buy next?
If VW Golfs keep improving and getting back to what they do best.........building sporty, quality cars YES. Why buy a Ford or Seat when VW have built a great car again! My next car will be a VW Golf. £18,000 with extras on a spanking new Silver Golf is the best car purchase for me yet.

I asked for a discount and they gave me 8% on the retail which was great! My trade in price was good too. Inchcape Bridgnorth VW.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
VW Golf has finally found its class again!
What was the dealer like?
Excellent and worth the 12 hour round trip from Scotland!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Faster than I thought! 2nd, 3rd and 4th are as fast as my BMW 325 Sport which had 192BHP! Lowered suspension is positive and the car is brilliant on motorways and back roads. Don't bother with the 170BHP model this is the car and the engineering and design are suited to the 140BHP. Economy is 47MPG but when engine losens up will return 50plus.
What's it like to park?
Very easy as the Golf can be thrown about with ease. Handling is very good.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing as the car is rock solid.
What's most practical about your car?
Very comfortable and corners superb. The car is all round fantastic and my 5th VW. My last car was a BMW 325 Sport and this is right up there! Dealership added cruise and a superb Parrot hands free kit which were good investments.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Auto lights and windscreen wipers are superb and the latest thing on new cars. Sound system on Sport has 8 speakers and is brilliant.
