What does this car say about you?
Someone who doesn't compromise on quality, GT Sport styling possibly boy-racer, but more economy conscious than GTI. Brand conscious!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Expensive, but neatly styled, upmarket.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not the Mark 5 Golf, possibly Mark 6.
What are you likely to buy next?
Skoda Octavia vRS, when I can afford it.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Good deal in terms of price, approx £400 less than Parkers valuation. Difficult to find any deal for a Golf.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Was not impressed by the independent dealer, car was advertised with valid MOT which was verbally confirmed to expire in October, but had already expired. Did ask to see the valid MOT certificate which the dealer said I could get online. A real two-bit liar!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fun, fast, cool, comfortable. The pedals are weighted correctly, the steering provides plenty of feedback and plenty of pull in each gear.
What's it like to park?
Dead easy, though for some reason still getting used to lining the car up straight.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all, touch-wood!
What's most practical about your car?
Didn't buy for practicality, though I don't really carry many people day-to-day. It's a good size, plenty of legroom. Love sixth gear!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Like the ESP, keeps me on the road. :).
