Wanted economical diesel automatic to replace petrol Mercedes

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great handling but very noisy on some road surfaces. Ride a bit harsh but it is the GT. DSG box was disappointing after all the glowing reports in the press. Seemed too easy to catch it out, for example when trickling up to junctions and then accelerating away, taking too long to find the lower gear.

No probs.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Car failed to start a few days after delivery. Dealer found nothing wrong & returned car. Happened again a few days after that, again dealer could find no fault but blamed contaminated diesel. Drained and refilled tank. A week later, again failed to start. Insisted on my money back and eventually dealer agreed. Glad to be rid of it!
What's most practical about your car?
Relatively large boot.

Didn't have it long enough to judge.
