Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical, solid not too flash.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Good solid car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely. My wife loves it too and far prefers driving this to a newer Saab. Ticks every box for a hatchback and would be keen to see what extra toys are on the newer models. The lack of cruise control, rear parking sensors and steering wheel stereo controls still feels slightly surprising for this quality of car, even though it is 8 years old.
What are you likely to buy next?
Definitely think about another golf. My wife wanted a mini but I think it might have stiff competition now. More likely to look at bigger vw's now when we replace the Saab.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. I think so. I did a lot of research and negotiated.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Longer commute meant we needed a better 2nd car than the 206 we had before. And one which was economical.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great to drive. Very lively for a 54 plate diesel. Gearbox very crisp. Good for pottering and long journeys and fun to drive if you want it to be. Great handling.
What's it like to park?
Easy. Power steering not too light. Rear sensors have been fitted by a previous owner which are fast becoming a must have for me.
