What does this car say about you?

Probably a cheap skate! As it's an entry level Golf, it has no alloys or anything flash. It gets me from A to B.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

People trust the brand VW so they know it is a reliable car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. I wouldn't buy a petrol car again and not a low level entry Golf.

What are you likely to buy next?

My next purchase will be a 1.6TDI Bluemotion.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think so. I got a good interest rate on the finance deal but I was in negative equity with my previous car and this was carried over on to the new deal. I'm paying slightly more a month than what I would like but I'm happy to have a car I like so much.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I always wanted a golf but couldn't afford a TDI Bluemotion so I decided to purchase an entry level one and build my way up.

What was the dealer like?

Arnold Clark. Pleasant enough and very informative.

What's it like to drive?

Smooth, comfortable and it looks nice. MPG could be better, 37 in the city, 53 on open roads.

What's it like to park?

Easy. Nothing obstructs your view.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I got the car in August 2014 with 13,000 miles on the clock. I've done over 8,000 and not a single problem. It went in for a service just recently and it's running really well - touch wood!

What's most practical about your car?

Getting you from A to B in comfort. MPG could be better in the city. It returns 37mpg driving about in the city but on a good run it can do up to 53mpg which is good.

It is a low entry model and it has no additional gadget or accessory.
