Not much I guess, but that doesnt bother me!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Dont know, and dont care really. Have tried explaining the concept of the 1.4l economy combined with the turbo/super chargers, but most glaze over or dont care.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. You cant really go wrong with a VW and the Golf is a proven car around the world. This is my 2nd (previously had the 1.8GTI, before kids) and I'd happily buy a 3rd.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something with a bigger boot and possibly an estate. Just because I now manage a kids football team and I cant get all the kit in the boot of the Golf.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Pretty reasonable, although I did have a small issue with my p/x, where the price they initially offered was not what they ended up giving me. Market forces must have moved significantly over a couple of weeks.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Good local dealership. They sold the car I originally wanted before I could make a commitment. But they called me up about a similar car soon after and we were able to do a reasonable deal.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very solid, very enjoyable, even on long journeys.
What's it like to park?
Very easy, especially with the parking sensor assistance (front only).

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One small engine sensor issue which was fixed under the original warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Its a reliable, small family car but with the bonus of the turbo-charged and super-charged 1.4l engine. This gives 38-40mpg average, but with a really rapid acceleration when needed.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Parking sensors are nice, and the auto lights and auto windscreen wipers are helpful.
