I think it says that we are young professionals who have done their research and stretched themselves (spent more) to buy a quality product. It shouts practical, sensible, safe, quality motoring.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My Dad drives an old Jag diesel and loves driving the smooth and quiet Golf. Our neighbours have exactly the same model just newer!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes but the EGR valve issue really shook my confidence in VW for a while.
What are you likely to buy next?
Either the same again or perhaps a Turan or a Tiguan for more space if we have another baby. However we hope to keep this for a long time.
