What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It doesn't provoke a big response - I like that.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£14,000
When did you buy the car?
February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a very good deal due to the scrappage allowance and shopped around 5 or so VW dealers to get the best price for the car we wanted. Once we had the best price, our local dealer matched it.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Double scrappage allowance was available on Golf S models at the time, plus we had wanted a Golf anyway.
What was the dealer like?
OK
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic to drive- feels like a bigger car with nicely weighted steering and suspension - and brilliant sound insulation.
What's it like to park?
Very easy.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all in 3 years, except the ipod connection doesn't always work first time.
What's most practical about your car?
Everything - it is massively practical.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Leather steering wheel/gearknob and front centre armrest. This is a bottom of the range car but these 2 inexpensive options make a big difference to the comfort and quality levels.
