The least reliable car I've ever owned, but a nice car when it's working. I've had my Golf 1.6Tdi for around 40K miles, replacing everything it needed, but it's become the laughing stock of my local garage. From sticking valves, fuel pump failures, EGR valve failure, DPF failure, N75 valves, pressure sensors, interior electics, AC pump, throttle valve, corrosion, multiple injector failures (at £750 each!), the list goes on. When the engine light or limp mode is not on, the car is great. Good fuel economy, stable on the motorway but fun enough on the B roads.
