Did you get a good deal and why?
Pretty good - the Golf cost £23000 (ex demonstrator with sat nab etc) we paid £17000 after around 18 months.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Have always bought VW, this was our 5th Golf. Reliable, good looking, fast, well built car.
What was the dealer like?
Great - good service. Was actually a Mazda dealership so I think needed to get the car off the forecourt!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's a Golf - smooth, fast, safe.
What's it like to park?
Front and rear parking sensors so not an issue, although it's wider than you think - I hit the wing mirror on the garage door the first time I put it away.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
New clutch pedal under warranty, flaking bumper paint re-sprayed under warranty. New air con pump out of warranty - ouch. Best part of a grand to replace.
What's most practical about your car?
50 miles to the gallon in a 140bhp car. Sat Nav.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
18" alloys - look great.
