Impressed but the understated styling means its not always a head turner. I think it is though.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes as it's everything I wanted in a car, it's the best all rounder.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a healthy discount which paid for all the options I added on. I had a price in mind and stuck to it. Worked out at an 11% discount.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a reliable car with a dealer close to home.
What was the dealer like?
Fantastic, really helpful and kept me up to date by email during the 3 month wait for build etc.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Amazing. Coming from a Seat Leon FR which was a good car to drive round corners, the Golf is in a different league and it's more comfortable and refined. Steering is accurate and the car is always composed around corners. Engine is powerful and very smooth for a diesel. Although, I miss the power of my FR TDI. Economy is very good, best MPG is 65 over a 40mile trip home on minor A-roads. Motorway trips between 55-60 if careful. Brings a smile to my face, even a year later.
What's it like to park?
Simple, visual parking sensors and camera makes manuvering simple and fast. Park assist is a nice toy but does work very well.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had it a year and no faults or problems so far. Couple of rattles from dash area now and again but not enough to bother me.
What's most practical about your car?
Family friendliness, space. It a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Being 6ft 3, Ive got a lot of room up front and I can even sit comfortably in the back. Impressive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Touch screen stereo, onscreen parking sensors, reversing camera and most importantly the automatic parking feature. Realy impressive for showing off and it works too.
