Volkswagen Golf Hatchback (2013 - 2020) 1.4 TSI GTE (Nav) 5d DSG Owner Review

The battery takes up a lot of space which leaves the back seat passengers with very little leg room . The battery rarely charges more than 24 miles and runs down very quickly- it won’t run 24 miles on that charge. Only very short journeys are possible on electricity only. It’s not as economical as my previous petrol Golf. The instruction manual is ridiculously long and complicated. Lots of electronic things to go wrong- constantly in the garage for repair. Labour costs are high because 2 people are required for electrical safety reasons for certain repair procedures. The car was expensive. On the positive side, the interior is comfortable with good supporting seats and the dashboard on the whole is well set out. Good acceleration.
