Volkswagen Golf SV (2014 - 2020) 2.0 TDI GT 5d DSG Owner Review

In their own words
As a retired garage owner and confirmed VW enthusiast I was keen to have an SV as my previous VW ,a Eunos, was a disapointment. The roof creaked and I found some of the cars idiosyncrasies frustrating. As with most of my vehicles I got my SV as an ex demonstrator to save a few bob and wanted Caribbean Blue ending up with a GT version which I find has a rather hard ride. Not ideal on modern pothole strewn roads! However I still love the car as it is so practical and typical demo mine is stuffed with factory options eg. full leather ,adaptive cruise control (ideal in traffic) etc. and the invaluable DSG box is magic....... although the stop/ start can be a little frustrating. I had my first new VW in 1972 as a company car was thrilled with it and my passion has never died. At one point everyone in my family had a VW including a T25 Camper but some have deserted to Skoda. My next car will definitely be a VW but it may be some time as my wife wants a place in Spain, mind you there are a few SVs out there too!
