Economy
Value
There were cheaper cars available but not with the quality that the Lupo offers.
Costs
Dealer servicing is reasonable. I wish the same could be said for their customer service. Fuel and consumable costs are low.

On the road
Driving
Handles well but obviously not a sports car!
Performance
The 1.0 is not as bad as some say. It's definitely noisier than the 1.4 but is quite capable of cruising at 70-80 for longer runs. What it lacks is overtaking performance but for commuting in town and A roads it has been perfect.

Living with it
Reliability
A few niggles but it's never let us down.
Image
VW quality in a cute package. You can't help but love it.

Excellent for such a small car. The back seats are reasonable for adults for short distances.

Security and Service
Security
Only an immobiliser as standard.
Service
Dealers are not particularly helpful.
