Economy
Value
It's quite expensive for a small car, but it is a VW. When I bought this, nothing compared for build quality at this size.
Costs
Compared to my previous car (2.5 V6) it's a miracle! Amazingly low on fuel, especially around town. Low insurance, tax etc.

On the road
Driving
Grip good with 14 x 6" alloys. Ride a bit sloppy. Brakes good with ABS. Brill' visibility.
Performance
Compared to my previous car (2.5 V6) it's NOT a miracle! But again, has spirit around town and good midrange torque for its size.

Living with it
Reliability
My Lupo is over 3 years old and not had any major problems. Recently, I've been abusing it, driving it hard and using it a lot for trips to the waste tip. It's solid!
Image
A bit cheeky and funky. People are amazed. Some already know of quality and space. I recently have wondered about its size. My wife thinks it looks like a Noddy car as it's bright red!
Comfort
Very comfy in front for its size. Seats quite good. Back comfy but tight. Had sunroof and CD player fitted, which really adds to the comfy feeling.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, immobiliser. Suppose an alarm would be good, but often wonder if manufactuers should install window film instead. Would stop break-ins and hijacks (if doors locked).
Service
Dealer is rubbish. Not many courtesy cars and snooty receptionists. I've been back many times for one recurring problem. It could be the norm, but astounded at £70 to turn off passenger airbag for my baby!

Bit noisy and raspy. Had cat-convertor replaced within 12 months.
