Volkswagen Lupo Hatchback (1999-2005) interior, tech and comfort

Seats have many of the adjustments reserved for larger VWs, including height (on most models). This makes for a great driving position. All switches and buttons have a soft feel to them and controls are well weighted.
Engine noise is intrusive on the 1.0, but other engines do better and the cabin is well insulated against wind and road noise. Rear is only big enough for two kids and not especially comfortable for long journeys. Most buyers should think of it as a two-seater (front passenger gets more legroom and frees-up the rear for luggage).
