Volkswagen Passat Estate 2.0 GL 16V 5d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very high spec (all the optional extras) for not a lot of money. General dismissed, with people opting for the latest version.
Costs
Expensive tyres, insurance, parts can be found at scrap yards though from older cars at very low prices.
-
On the road
Driving
Feels a lot more stable than the 80's version. Grip is very good, genrally well behaved.
Performance
Starship speed for a oldish estate. Can give almost any car on the road a run for its money.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Never misses a beat.
Image
High spec models can look quite respectable and modern.
Comfort
Very comfortable, loads of room, deepish bolsters on seats, heated electric leather seats and hight adjustable steering make for a very relaxing ride.
