Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,600
When did you buy the car?
May 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from auction direct from leasing company. 86K, FSH, £5600.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good value. Wanted a diesel estate. Like VW's.
What was the dealer like?
Bought from auction so didn't have to deal with hateful sales person. VW dealers are generally terrible, very expensive, seemingly not very knowledgeable and the car comes back with scratches on it. Find a good independent.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A bit stodgy as you'd expecty for a diesel estate. Handling is safe and solid with ESP to help you out if you get it wrong. Great motorway car.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough despite the size - great visibility because it's an estate.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear wiper motor packed up at 107K miles (common fault). New one from GSF was £58, easy enough to fit yourself. Otherwise, fault free in 126K. Superb workhorse.
What's most practical about your car?
Loads of space, especially with the seats folded. Economy is superb when you drive steadily (50mpg+)
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Automatic wipers work well. Stereo turns volume up when you speed up, really useful.
