I'm a company car driver driving a basic model!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like the colour (red) seems to suit it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely not. Continual parking brake problems have spoilt the experience for me.
What are you likely to buy next?
Have ordered a Mondeo estate 1.6 diesel, doesn't have an electronic parking brake.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Considering this is only 110ps (108bhp) it performs well. I'm not a boy racer so quiet, steady progress is all I'm interested in.
What's it like to park?
It's quite a long car so you have to choose your parking spot carefully. I've never had any problems.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Electronic parking brake has rarely worked. dealer has tried to cure without success, I've given up trying, now manually release the brake. This is the second Passat I've had with the same problem.
What's most practical about your car?
Carrying ability, quiet and smooth motorway cruiser, comfortable ride with surefooted handling.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Factory fitted DAB radio - brilliant.
