I'd like to try the newer common rail diesel engine and see if it's a bit quieter and smoother (I think it is) but I really like 6 cylinder engines....

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The take up lag with the auto box is a pain and takes some getting used to. Setting off from junctions requires thinking ahead. It is not the most exciting car to drive. I had an 2.7 tdi quattro A6 Avant before which was slower if anything but you felt like a king. However, on the motorway cruise, auto lights, wipers and plenty of overtakng power (170 bhp) makes for genuinely effortless driving. My only complaint is slightly intrusive road noise but agibn this is compared to the Audi so probably a bit unfair. Handling on A roads is also very good for a big estate car.
What's it like to park?
Easy - yes, it's long but if you can't park, donr't buy a big car.
