Summary
What does this car say about you?
Dont know. Business executive?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Think it looks nice. No really exceptional comments. My last car, Peugeot 508 SW got more comments about great looks.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. My previous Peugeot 508SW was far superior in every respect. I had never owned Peugeot before, but that car was an eye opener. There is some snobbery with VW badge, but I'm not influenced by that. Peugeot is cheaper to buy, significantly cheaper to run, especially service costs.
What are you likely to buy next?
Don't know.

Not really. Got very poor price for my trade in.

Needed automatic.

Typically slick VW dealership.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice to drive, plenty of power with the 177bhp. Sport suspension spoils the ride though. Only really comfortable on motorways. I drive mostly on poor A and B class roads so ride comfort not great. Car is on standard 17 inch wheels and I replaced tyres with Goodyears that have high comfort rating to try and improve ride, but not much improvement.
What's it like to park?
Parking OK as long as you have front and rear parking sensors. Without them it could be a handful to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Bad smell from air con. 2 visits to dealer has failed to fix it. Stitching in drivers seat has burst. New seat cover ordered but has not arrived yet.
What's most practical about your car?
Size of boot and easy folding back seats.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Panoramic sunroof. Had these in last 2 cars, but they did not open. The front half tilts and also slides back. Car lacks keyless entry that my last car had. May sound silly, but once you get used to it, its very hard living without it.
