Overview
Don’t be fooled by the old Passat’s plain Germanic looks. Even as a new car, it was underrated, though well-informed used car buyers wanting high-quality no-nonsense family transport have appreciated its strengths for years. Great build quality and reliability are the main attractions, plus a wide range of proven engines. A late life facelift in 1994 improved it further.
If you want practicality, space and durability, check out this excellent range.
