What does this car say about you?

When I bought it that I knew a good car, now it probably says I'm skint.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most have liked it, one even bought one on my reccomendation

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably not now as its an old model but that is the only reason. Must like it as I've had it for eight years

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably a Honda Accord Type S if I can find one for the right price. The current Passat is too unreliable and ugly to boot.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, bought from car supermarket, haggled and got £700 off plus a years extra warranty thrown in.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Driven previously as hire car and liked it

What was the dealer like?

Typical car supermarket, desperate for the sale. No contact afterwards. Have not been particularly pleased with VW dealers I have used over the years.

What's it like to drive?

Excellent long distance cruiser,very comfortable and refined on motorways and good in town too. Not really a great handler on challenging roads though. 30-35mpg on average over the years.

What's it like to park?

Easy enough.

Have you had any problems with the car?

A few electrical faults, Speedo stopped working at one point, but nothing major not caused by a shoddy VW dealer.

What's most practical about your car?

Large boot and comfort levels

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Climate control and 6cd autochanger.Sport seats supremely comfortable.
