What does this car say about you?

It says I like a car that is well made, reliable and nice to drive. VW says quality and an image thats a slight cut above without being overtly flashy.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all seem to like it, one said he thinks it suits me? I always get positive comments and belies its age.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, it has an excellent balance of performance, size and economy without costing the earth. That said, good ones seem to be appreciating in value!

What are you likely to buy next?

Possibly a new Passat though the electronic handbrake puts me off (no idea why this change was needed)

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes the private deal I got was good at the time. The car only had 34,000 miles recorded, by far the lowest miles 1.8T sport I could find. Also had all the toys like half leather heated seats and 17" alloys

Had owned 2 of the same model previously

What's it like to drive?

Everything is light & to hand. 1.8T unit is very responsive and smooth whilst still being economical. Handling is good enough but sports suspension & 17" wheels makes for a firmish ride

What's it like to park?

I'm used to it (having had 3)but can be difficult as the extent od car behind you is hard to guess (unless a boot spoiler is fitted)

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing, only tyres and servicing in over 3 years. Never fails me

What's most practical about your car?

Boot is enormous and internal space excellent for age of design

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Climate control/CD changer in dash.. als the blue dash illumination looks excellent at night
