What does this car say about you?
Does differentiate you from the Mondeo and vectra brigade, understated but classy saloon, looks especially good with lowered sports suspension and standard 16" alloys.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone likes it and even though it is "just" a Passat it always attracts admiring comments

yes - excellent value and nice drive

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good response from the 1.8T engine and never seems to lack power, firm suspension makes it a little restless on bumpy country roads but quite good fun for a big car as long as it is not pushed too much. EXCELLENT on motorways - 40MPG +
What's it like to park?
Well I have ownen 3 of them so no problem nowadays, though it can be a guessing game at first!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Needed 2 new seatbelts (replaced under warranty by VW) and front nearside suspension spring broke (also replaced under warranty) apart from that only tyres and battery.
What's most practical about your car?
Size of boot, passenger accomodation

climate control and CD changer
