Summary
What does this car say about you?
It's a class above the usual Ford/Vauxhall repmobiles. It's discreet and classy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It's a smart looking car. It has impressed those who have cared to look.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's simply been the best car I've ever had. It's been reliable from day one. It's also the most powerful and yet the most economic car I've owned.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly a Passat CC or an Audi Q3.

Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£15,500
When did you buy the car?
April 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
This was an ex-fleet care and so, at the time, there were many of this model at VW dealers. The car was very reasonably priced given that it was less than a year old and with only 7k miles.

Best combination of performance, fuel economy and comfort.

No problems.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Driving is very easy given the combination of the engine (140bhp TDI) and DSG gearbox.
What's it like to park?
Not very easy to reverse park - reversing sensors should be standard.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Oil sensor failed after 4 years as did gas struts in boot. It has still been the most reliable car I've had.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is very large.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The heated seats are great.
