What does this car say about you?

To me, it says that I admire subtle but not bland styling, although the features of the previous model appealed a little more when launched. This model isn't as well balanced in the styling department, especially at the rear. I believe that it says that I don't follow the heard, but I know a well rounded brand when I see one that can excite whilst being cool and stylish at the same time.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it. Family members have been vert complimentry about my car and my wife prefers it to her Golf Cabrio.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. It has pleased me far more than many other cars and as a package, I can't find a car that tick as many boxes as the Passat or CC.

What are you likely to buy next?

Budget, allowing, I would definitely have another CC.

Like Passats, had a 2007 saloon and 2008 CC before.

What's it like to drive?

It drives very very well. I like the handling and feedback through the wheel. Although a Blue Motion 140 with gearing to suit, it isn't lethargic and goes reasonably well when provoked. Grip is more than adequate and cabin noise non-intrusive, much less so that a colleagues 2012 Audi A3 S-Line Black Edition. It's not hugely comfortable though and I have struggled with the driving position on this and my previous Passat, a 2008 CC. Come on VW, sort the seats out and make this the perfect package!!!

What's it like to park?

Devoid of any parking sensors, I never have any problems judging gaps and have amazed even myself on a number of occasions when exiting the car and studying the gap I have just squeezed into. Although the front corners are shaved off when compare with earlier models, it doesn't detract from the view of the cars outermost extremities.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Absolutely nothing. Just like the last one and the one before that. Excellent build quality and reliability.

What's most practical about your car?

Boot space is excellent and the ergonomics are sound. The interior is much roomier than a colleagues C Class Merc and another colleagues 320d.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Auto hold is a great feature and the electric hand brake makes great sense when coupled with it. VW have changed the functionality of the auto hold, as it no longer applies the brakes if you roll slowly backwards when reversing or parking. This used to annoy me on my 2008 CC.
