As stock it says I went for an affordable and sensible first car - it's not completely practical, but just enough to get the job done.

They think it's rather cute.

The CL is very basic, I'd buy the same model but a higher trim level.

Saloon version of this car.

Did you get a good deal and why?
IMHO yes, despite age and mileage the car was entirely worth the price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
First car, small engine, cheap insurance.
What was the dealer like?
Bought from a work colleague, reliable and honest.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
No power steering so requires some strength to turn, also quite noisy at high speeds. Very light and reasonably quick for the engine size on the straights, but struggles on steep hills.
What's it like to park?
Excellent. Very small car, can fit into just about any size space.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rust is the major issue, especially in arches & rear skirt panel. Wheel bearings don't seem to last very long. Gearbox needed reconditioning after 110,000 miles, costly job.
What's most practical about your car?
Very basic and simple in almost every aspect. Great entry point to learning mechanics or as a base for modifications.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Big rear window, wiper is the same size as the fronts & comes with washer jet. Excellent visibility all round.
