Economy
Value
Offers excellent value for money due to low depreciation and image.
Costs
VW servicing is usually a little more expensive than for other brands, it can be best to find a quality independent VW Specialist or a reliable local car workshop.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles better than other cars of same specification/year.
Performance
You would not buy one if wanted to race but its nippy than it looks and provides good savings dur to low fuel consumptions.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable motoring, but a great deal depends on the owner.
Image
Slightly up market/quality image when compared to its counterparts - seen as being popular but not common.
Comfort
Very comfortable, specially considering that this model has no extras and is the "bog standard" version of the Polo.
-
Security and Service
Security
Lacks in security, hence the need to install your own security devices. Alarm/steering lock.
Service
I have not had any contact with the manufacturer as yet, I tend to use VW independent dealers - I feel the VW authorised dealers are rather expensive, specially for accessories.
