Economy
Value
Best car in its class, high costs, but it will retain its value unlike most. After market parts can be expensive if through authorised dealers, that's why I go on eBay!
Costs
Insurance group/tax as expected for a small 60bhp car, running costs only average though.

On the road
Driving
Make sure that you upgrade the 13" steel wheels as going through corners is a nightmare in the wet with 175/65 tyres. I purchased 14" alloys, a vast improvement on handling.
Performance
Only 60its no scorcher with bhp! Nippy though town, feels underpowered as many 1.1 engine produce more power than the polo at 1.4.

Living with it
Reliability
I have owned this 11 months, what has gone wrong? 1. Central locking died 2. Driver electric window jams. 3. Service light came on several times within the 1st 3 months 4. Exhaust needed tightening. The engine is great starts 1st time always.
Image
Still has its admirers, although it won't turn heads like a Ferrari, look at its rivals; 106, Micra, Corsa; the Polo is way in front. It attracts audiences of many ages, from young to old drivers, the car seems to be driven more by females though.
Comfort
The interior of the car makes it a pleasant drive, although bland, the seats are cosy for a 90's hatch, motorway and long driving is tolerable, rear head rests are a bonus for rear passengers!

Security and Service
Security
The car came with a toad alarm as standard, this year/model came with deadlocks as security revision, I feel that the car is quite secure.

Electrics are poor and unreliable on this car, I would go Japanese, as they seem to know there stuff.
