Slighlty expensive to buy new but this is offset by reliabilty and low depreciation.
Costs
Averages high 50s mpg - never had below 48 mpg. Part prices just acceptable.

Surprisingly good on country 'A' roads - feels safe and solid.

Good engine torque.

Both front electric windows broke in first 6 month (replaced under warranty). Has never let me down in four years/69,000 miles.
Comfort
Generally very comfortable though diesel noise can be intrusive on longer (faster motorway) journeys.
