Value
Rather expensive, but it comes with good features as standard (ABS, PAS, 2 airbags).
Costs
Expensive to service, but has cost me very little otherwise.

On the road
Driving
Poor turning circle makes maneuvering difficult. Nice steering, but a very soft clutch.
Performance
This is where the car is really let down. Once you get used to it, you can push the Polo somewhat, but it's sluggish at best.

Living with it
Reliability
My Polo has only failed to start once, and that was due to a manufacturing fault involving the ignition switch. VW fixed it at no cost and without any arguments.
Image
Looks nice and occasionally mistaken for a Golf, but otherwise unexciting.
Comfort
Never had any complaints from passengers, front or rear.

Service generally quite good. Work carried out quickly and at my convenience.
