Economy
Value
Unjustifiably expensive.
Costs
Standard running costs are cheap but fault repairs make car below average in this department.
-
On the road
Driving
Boring and predictable.
Performance
Average for a 1.4 8v as car is rather heavy.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Very disappointing as I have owned two FIATs before, both of which were older, cheaper to run and more reliable.
Image
I'm 21 and the car feels a bit too stade for me but the interior is trendy.
Comfort
Seats are supportive but doors are cumbersome and like closing as you try to get out the car.
-
Security and Service
Security
No alarm or central locking, just basic immobiliser but it's too boring to be stolen anyway.
Service
VW dealership is very clean and well maintained, just a pity they don't keep my car that way.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
EPC and oil warning light come on all the time and the rear brake lights have just stopped working.
Other
I really wish I had not bought this car but it was a good deal at £4000 for a 2000/X with 30k miles from a dealer.
