Volkswagen Polo Hatchback 1.6 GTi 5d (2001/X) Owner Review

Economy
Value
I think they are overpriced, but then they are rare.
Costs
Good on fuel, but you drive it hard and you will use fuel like any car.

On the road
Driving
125bhp, lots of torque and power to weight, gears are a bit notchy. I think this may be because I'm used to the Golf Turbo which I had before this. The dash is nice, some chrome in there lights up blue at night, with the lights on and the Xenon headlamps.
Performance
125bhp, responsive when it needs to be. Not forgetting its a small car.

Living with it
Reliability
Be OK, the alloy wheels have gone a bit scabby and the air con has seemed to pack up, as has the central locking.
Image
Not much to separate it from the rest, apart from the xenon headlamps and the sports grill and wheels.
Comfort
Not bad seats could have done with a bit more support and the seats seem a little small.

Still got it so far.
