Volkswagen Polo Hatchback (00-02) rivals
Overview
The last generation Polos retain proven strengths of the previous ranges. The biggest changes were on the inside, with an all-new dashboard and control layout. The range includes an efficient small turbo diesel, a sporty GTi model as well as tried-and-tested 1.0, 1.4 and 1.9 diesel engines. Polo doesn’t grab the eye, but it’s probably the ultimate quality supermini – safe, economical, easy to drive and long lasting.
