Summary
What does this car say about you?
Someone who wanted a good quality, slightly more upmarket and affordable to run car.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
All think that it is a nice solid little car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would recommend it to a friend, it has been a great car. V.reliable and everything seems to be good quality. But I would not buy another myself as I now have a desire for something much much faster!
What are you likely to buy next?
Astra SRI turbo diesel. I am no longer a student so want something faster and slightly larger!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£7,200
When did you buy the car?
September 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Ok, perhaps could have got a better deal from a car supermarket. However, not sure if dealer service would have been so good that way?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good image, quality feel of buttons etc. Nippy feeling to the engine around town and good stereo.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent. Due to what is perhaps a paint defect I have a lot of stone chips on the bonnet after 27 000 miles. I complained to the dealer who sent me to their body shop. They agreed to sort the paint out for me with no quibbles at all, v.impressed.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nippy in town, lots of power low down in the revs in all gears making it great for around town and roundabouts etc. The engine doesn't like being revved highly and the power tends to drop off near the top of the revs. With only the driver in the car, overtakes can be quite quick using 4th gear. However, once you put 2 or 3 people in the car and some luggage, it really can struggle to get much acceleration. The car is happy to cruise at any speed up to 90mph without any problems. Top speed is nearer 105-110 than the quoted 93. However, you will struggle to keep it at 100+ as hills will slow it down!
What's it like to park?
Easy - Good visibility.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
around 50mpg is possible with v.light driving and when cruising at 50-60mph.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The cd player is surprisingly loud. The blue dashboard lights also look nice at night.
