Economy
Value
EXCELLENT Value for money, this little gem has just about everything you could ask for laden with toys and gismos, check it out, terrific value for money.
Costs
All I can comment on in this category is the fuel economy as this car is only 2 months old, nearly as good as a diesel, 50 mpg.

On the road
Driving
We have had this little gem 7 weeks now, it's handling and road holding are, what can I say, just excellent, no roll on corners and grips the road like a limpet with the benefit of a very comfortable driving position for both men and women.
Performance
Whilst this is only a 1.2 engine delivering only 55 bhp it isn't no slouch, if you are prepared to spend more there is a vast range of engines, this model has the entry level engine, as mentioned previously it delivers perfectly adequate performance.

Living with it
Reliability
Unable to comment on this aspect right now but I would imagine it will stand up to Volkswagens already impeccable reliability history !
Image
Just perfect, brand new style upgrade with this model, they have got it right with this new version of the Polo, make sure you go for the S, at just over £8,000 a real snip, watch out competitors, and you isn't got the VW badge of reliability!
Comfort
Very comfortable driving position, with shaped seats, hard to improve upon.

Security and Service
Security
Appears to be 1st class, immobiliser what more could you want.
Service
No problems to date, fingers crossed as only 2 months old, I will report again when the car gets to 6 months old, this car is on 20,000 mile, yes 20,000 mile service intervals so VW have obviously put their money where their mouth is, good on you VW.
