What does this car say about you?
Functional yet sporty.

Would you buy this car again and why?

What are you likely to buy next?

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,000
When did you buy the car?
June 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I'd like to believe I got a good deal. The car has only done 65,000 miles and did not look worn or marked at all. I got some money taken off becuase the tyres needed changing and because of the top of the range trim the car is quite sporty looking on the inside.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought a VW becuase of their reputation as a reliable car. The VW Polo is cheap on insurance and tax, yet the 3 cylinder had plenty of pull. The car also manages to get 60 mpg on a good run and there is enough space in the back to seat 2 with relitive ease.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was as nice as can be. Obiously pushing hard for a good deal but I had done my reseach and haggled £500 off the price for new tyres, a service and a full MOT.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Its nippy pulling away from lights. The turbo kicks in right when its supposed to, and allows overtaking with ease. Moving up steep hills in the valleys of Wales is no problem and at the same time it will sit at 80mph all day.
What's it like to park?
The small size of the car makes it easy to park, esp with it's short pub nose and large windows.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The car has had a couple of small faults in the last 8 months. The temperature guage for the oil went, and so we had that fixed (still under dealer warantee) and more recently we've had a couple of starting issues, at a cost of £170.
What's most practical about your car?
The great mpg...around 60 on a good run.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sport seats and Air com come in handy. I don't think the car would be up to much without the turbo though...
