Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says that I need to move onto a Honda Type-R because the FSI engine isn't made for revving and it's something i look for in a car, a high revving engine. The Polo tops out at around 6k revs.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No
What are you likely to buy next?
Honda Civic/Integra Type-R or a GTI

Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,000
When did you buy the car?
October 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
I beleive I got a good deal seeing as they gave me a years warranty with the purchase which proved to be very useful because they have spent well over £2500 on repairs all in 3months :-)
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Rubbish. VW Watford (Bushey) don't even bother checking the car before handing it over for any problems with it and I ended up coming to them every single week for funny noises in the car and they said "Garry the salesman just done a test drive round the corner and he couldn't find anything wrong with it" aren't the technicians meant to test drive?...that's at VW Watford (Bushey)...I finally took it to VW in Colindale and they were very friendly and reliable.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's not fast, but the first gear is quite quick compared to some other 1.4's. Overall it's a nippy car with a great sounding engine for a 1.4
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Quite a few things: 1. Wheel bearings making funny noise, got it replaced. 2. Both wishbone suspensions on the front side of the car needed replacing. 3. Rattling noise from exhaust, they fixed the exhaust but noise was still there but this time it was from the front of the car, the downpipe. 4. VW Watford sold me a car and said it had road legal tyres, but I checked it out with the tyre shop to confirm that they are not road legal and they said it needs wheel allignment and is not road legal.
What's most practical about your car?
It's very small
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated leather seats, sports seats, sports suspension.
