Yes, I haggled hard and was prepared to walk away untill I got the deal I wanted.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
For the 1.4TDI engine and VW build quality
What was the dealer like?
Very helpfull and not pushy

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
On the turbo boost it is frisky, off the boost very economical. Disc brakes all round make it stop on a six pence. Drives great in the snow all of the weight is over the driving wheels.
What's it like to park?
A dream to park good visability and electronic power steering.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Got a flat tyre once!!!
What's most practical about your car?
Size and fuel economy. I carry three Kayaks on the roof my mates in the back and travel the country looking for good water. cheap to run and never lets us down even in the heavy snow of 2009/10.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
My roof rack, but that is essensial.
